Medical assisting students prepare to enter a career in an essential part of healthcare.
The new Medical Assisting Diploma program at Anthem College – Atlanta trains students to master basic clinical and administrative skills used in virtually all physician offices and medical clinics. Students take courses in anatomy, physiology and medical terminology. They engage in hands-on training that ranges from injection technique and venipuncture to preparing medical records and scheduling patient visits.
Anthem College is dedicated to our students’ success and supports their academic and career goals inside and outside the classroom:
All medical assisting diploma candidates must complete two externships in healthcare facilities before graduating. Externships begin once a student has completed all required courses.
The Atlanta metropolitan area is home to literally thousands of physician practices and medical clinics that rely on medical assistants to work better, faster, and smarter. The healthcare market keeps expanding and looking for ways to work more efficiently. Examples include new patient care options such as CVS’ MinuteClinic.
