Formerly known as High-Tech Institute, Anthem College – Irving (Dallas), was established in 2000. The College offers career-focused training programs in the healthcare field.
We are dedicated to training and graduating career-focused professionals whose skills meet the expectations of today’s healthcare employers. Our students learn in an environment that combines coursework with skill development in real-world labs right on campus. In this way, we work to ensure that students who come prepared to learn will leave prepared to succeed.
Overall, employment in the Healthcare and Social Assistance industry in Texas is expected to increase in the upcoming years. “There is a demographic double whammy going on,” explains RDA Global president, Ray Duch. “Texas has a lot of Baby Boomers, who use a lot of healthcare, and a lot of young families, who use a lot of healthcare.”
RDA Global expects strong employment growth of around 27,000 jobs in the Dallas-Fort Worth area from 2008 through 2012. Long-term growth is also expected. The Labor Market & Career Information Department projects a 29.4 percent increase for the Health Care and Social Assistance industry from 2008 to 2018. Fast-growing occupations include: Pharmacy Technician, Surgical Technologist, Medical Assistant and Dental Assistant, which are expected to grow by over 30 percent during that time period.
By training students in skills and knowledge for specific healthcare fields, we better prepare them to compete for entry-level positions in their field after they graduate.
We know that investing in your education and training for a new career is a big decision, but it doesn’t have to be a confusing and stressful one too. From the admissions process and classes, to the externship and even after graduation, we work hard to support our students every step of the way. We also work to eliminate confusion about the cost of attending Anthem College – Irving. Our Total Program Charges include the cost of tuition, books, uniforms, supplies and testing fees (when applicable).
