Dental assistant programs prepare students to work closely with dentists and ensure that dental practices are operating with a high degree of efficiency.
Students can earn a Diploma in Dental Assistant at Anthem College—Kansas City. The program focuses on hands-on learning that emphasizes chairside skills, radiography and laboratory procedures. Other courses address polishing and dental health.
If you do not hold a high school diploma or GED and are interested in the program, please contact us to talk about your options.
A professional development course rounds out the program with critical information for all allied health professionals, covering topics such as universal precautions and OSHA guidelines. Students also learn interviewing techniques and other skills to help them land entry-level positions.
After satisfactorily completing coursework, students are placed in an externship where they are given the opportunity to practice and further develop their skills in real-world settings. Program graduates can compete for entry-level dental assistant positions.
