Anthem Education’s Business Management degree programs prepare students for careers in nonprofit organizations, businesses, and some government offices. This broader reach examines managing people as well as business resources.
Students take courses with global relevance beyond business, such as organizational behavior, employee training and development, and critical thinking. At the same time, they also study essential business topics in marketing, economics, and finance.
Program graduates can compete for positions that require a mix of technical, communication, and managerial skills in a wide variety of settings.
A review of different kinds of managerial positions listed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that this field is a steady one, and growing in some areas for the period between 2010 and 2020. For example, job openings for public relations managers with a bachelor’s degree are expected to increase by 21%, faster than average. Positions for administrative service managers held steady, but BLS hints that candidates with formal training might be more competitive for certain positions.
Social and community service Management positions are expected to grow by more than one-quarter-27%, faster than average job growth. Employment opportunities will grow fastest in industries that serve the elderly, such as home health care. Another area for employment opportunities will be in agencies that treat substance abusers. These are primarily nonprofit and private-sector agencies; employment with state and local governments will account for only 7% of the profession.
