Subjects Covered in Massage Therapy Programs

A massage therapy program prepares students for entry-level massage therapist positions in retail or office settings. It also provides basic information they need to start their own massage therapy businesses.

The Massage Therapy program is built upon a solid set of core courses that provide the competencies needed for graduates to be successful in their chosen career. It includes specific courses designed to prepare students to gain proficiently using the skills commonly employed in the massage therapy industry.

This program introduces the student to anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and required hands-on skills needed for entry level massage therapy positions. These skills include Swedish massage, sports massage, spa techniques, kinesiology and business aspects of massage therapy.

Several Anthem Education Group locations offer diploma and/or associate degree programs in massage therapy. Visit our Web site to learn more, or call us at 1.866.502.2627 .

After satisfactorily completing all coursework, students enter an Externship or other supervised clinic where they practice their skills in real-world settings.
