Pharmacy technicians play an important role in pharmacy services today. They provide both clinical and administrative support in pharmacies, allowing today’s pharmacies to work more efficiently than ever before.
Anthem College – Bryman School offers a Pharmacy Technician Associate of Science degree that provides extensive hands-on training for students preparing to enter the Pharmacy Technician field.
Students learn about cardiovascular and central nervous system pharmacology, intravenous treatments, antibiotics, and chemotherapy. They are trained to prepare IV, compounded, and unit-dosages, and learn how to fill prescription orders.
Our students also learn about legal issues that impact pharmacy operations, and study the work environments of hospital and retail pharmacies. Courses that address communications, ethics, and compliance help students develop management-related skills.
After successfully completing required courses, students are placed in a supervised Externship to practice their skills in a real-world environment.
Students who complete the Pharmacy Technician Associate of Science Degree program can compete for several types of entry-level technician positions in hospital, long-term care, and retail pharmacy settings.
At Anthem College – Bryman School, we care about our students’ success! Our classes are available during the day and in the evenings to accommodate their busy schedules. We also offer:
