A medical assistant program trains students in a variety of clinical and administrative procedures that help medical offices run efficiently while delivering quality patient services.
Anthem College—Phoenix offers an Associate of Science in Medical Assistant, which provides training for students interested in the medical assisting field. It is an excellent choice for those students who are looking for a program with more depth than a diploma course to help them compete more effectively in the Phoenix market.
The program combines clinical and administrative procedures. Students learn about clinical and laboratory procedures such as urinalysis, hematology and cardiopulmonary procedures, and study anatomy and body systems. They also learn medical terminologies, healthcare compliance, and bookkeeping.
Associate degree candidates also take courses in ethics, medical office supervision, and communication for healthcare professionals to help them advance in their careers. After completing coursework, students must complete an externship. This gives them real-world experience and the opportunity to practice their skills in professional settings.
At Anthem College, we want to support our students every step of the way. Our classes are available during the day and in the evenings in order to accommodate our students’ busy schedules. We also provide:
