Limited Scope X-Ray Technicians perform radiological services on specific parts of the body.
The Limited Scope X-Ray Technologist program offered by Florida Career College teaches students the fundamentals of anatomy and physiology. They learn about disease processes and trauma and how they can impact various body systems. Emphasis is placed on the skeletal and respiratory systems.
Students in all our x-ray programs study theory and concepts of radiographic physics. They are taught patient care procedures and basic office administrative procedures.
Students who complete the Limited Scope X-Ray Tech diploma can compete for entry level X-ray Technician / Basic Machine Operator positions. Graduates can find employment in outpatient centers, hospitals, diagnostic labs, and in physician offices. As part of the healthcare sector, new X-Ray Technician graduates can expect a positive jobs outlook.
